How to use this tool
Paste the earlier version in the first box and the revision in the second. Run the comparison to see unchanged lines (two leading spaces), deletions (-) and additions (+). The comparison preserves line order and supports up to 180 lines on each side.
Questions and answers
Is it a word-by-word comparison?
No. This tool compares whole lines and is intended for small revisions, snippets and configuration files.
Why are edits displayed as delete plus add?
A modified line is a removed old line and an added new line in a line-based comparison.
