Text Case Converter
Switch text between upper case, lower case, title case, sentence case and common code styles.
Runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers.
How to use this tool
Paste your text, then pick a case. The converted text replaces what is in the box, and Undo brings back the previous version.
- Title Case capitalises the main words and keeps short joining words such as “and”, “of” and “the” in lower case unless they start or end the title.
- Sentence case lower-cases everything, then capitalises the first letter of each sentence and the word “I”.
- camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case are for variable names, file names and URLs.
Questions and answers
Which title case style does this follow?
It follows the rule shared by most style guides: capitalise the first word, the last word and every main word, and keep short articles, conjunctions and prepositions in lower case. Style guides differ on details such as longer prepositions, so check the result against the guide you use.
Will sentence case keep my names and acronyms capitalised?
No. A converter cannot know which words are names, so sentence case lower-cases them. Re-capitalise names and acronyms yourself after converting.
Does it work with accented and non-English letters?
Yes for upper and lower case, which use your browser’s Unicode case rules. The code styles (camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case) keep letters and digits from any alphabet and replace everything else with a separator.
